Continuing Education Credit
Special conferences and clinical workshops are approved for continuing education credits (CEUs) by the following groups:
Psychologists
The Sweetser Training Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. The Institute maintains responsibility for all programs.
National Certified Counselors
The Institute is an independent affiliate of the University of Southern Maine (provider #4150), and approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors to provide continuing education for national certified counselors. It is the responsibility of the provider (USM College of Education and Human Development) to follow NBCC guidelines.
Maine Licensed Social Workers LADCs, LMFTs, LCPCs and LPCs
The Sweetser Training Institute is an ongoing provider of continuing education, and generally, all Institute programs can be used for continuing education and relicensure credit.
Physicians
The Sweetser Training Institute is accredited by the Maine Medical Association as a provider of continuing medical education.
