Portland, ME – Six volunteers from Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker performed maintenance work at Sweetser’s Portland Crisis Stabilization Unit building on Danforth Street as part of the United Way of Greater Portland’s 17th Day of Caring.
They joined 1,000 other volunteers who helped local nonprofits with maintenance, gardening and other tasks.
“We so appreciate the volunteers,” said Sweetser Crisis Services Senior Director, Leslie Mulhearn, “because it allows us to focus our time on the needs of our families.”
The next Day of Caring will take place in June when volunteers will work on projects at The School at Sweetser in Saco.

Volunteers from Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker: From left, front row, Lisa Lutterman and Leander MacVane. Back row, Ethan Baker, Kasi Ehlers, Kelley Nadeau and Nick Eugley, take a break from Sweetser building maintenance projects.

Volunteers Lisa Lutterman and Nick Eugley paint walls at Sweetser’s facility.
