January 28, 2009 Sweetser received a $2,500 grant from the Edward H. Daveis Benevolent Fund of the Maine Community Foundation to support families being served at the Portland Crisis Stabilization Unit.
"This investment will promote family involvement with youth," said Leslie Mulhearn, director of Sweetser Crisis Services. "Sweetser will be able to help families pay for essential transportation or special activities that will help keep the family relationships strong," she said.
For 25 years, the Maine Community Foundation has partnered with donors and community groups to strengthen Maine through grants and scholarships. For more information, click here and visit the foundation's web site or call toll-free 1.877.700.6800.
