Miniature Golf Event Benefits Sweetser's Youth Enrichment Programs
Posted on 06/01/2005 at 09:25 am
Sweetser will host a miniature golf event on Monday, August 1, at the Long Shot Golf Center in Brunswick. The event benefits the organization's youth enrichment programs, which provide therapeutic, recreational and academic activities for children in the midcoast area.
Sweetser's Miniature Golf Event begins at 10 a.m. with a business play portion, where business and employee teams of four players play 18 holes of golf while competing for prizes. A noon luncheon and awards ceremony follows. The event continues with family/open play from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by an ice cream social.
"Not everyone knows how to play golf, but anyone can play miniature golf," said Sweetser's Director of Development, Todd Henry. "Our goal is to offer a fun event that is both family-friendly and provides midcoast businesses with a unique opportunity to appreciate employees while supporting Sweetser's programs for youth. We believe this event is the first of its kind in the area, and we hope it becomes a treasured summer tradition."
Sponsorships for the business play event are $100 for a team of four and include lunch. Family/open play tickets are $10 each. For more information, please contact Bill Brillant at 373-3169.
