Miniature Golf Event Draws a Crowd in Brunswick
Posted on 08/10/2005 at 09:19 am
The inaugural Sweetser Miniature Golf Event raised more than $2,700 in cash donations and collected more than $2,500 through in-kind contributions - all to benefit Sweetser's Youth Enrichment After-school Programs in Midcoast Maine. The tournament took place August 1 at the Long Shot Golf Center in Brunswick. The money raised will help Sweetser to continue its funding of therapeutic, recreational and academic activities for at-risk middle school students in Brunswick, Bath, Freeport and Maine School Administrative District 75, which includes Topsham, Bowdoin, Bowdoinham and Harpswell.
