Posted on 08/24/2005 at 09:16 am
One lucky midcoast household will be the recipient of a miniature New England Cape-style playhouse when the structure is raffled September 17 at Bath Citizen's Involvement Day. The playhouse has been on display since July in front of Sweetser's Brunswick office at 329 Bath Road.
The custom-built 8' by 8' playhouse was donated by Hancock Lumber of Brunswick and BBI Builders. Complete with two dormers, a small front porch, and a side door for larger access, the playhouse can also be used as a storage shed.
Tickets for the raffle are $5 each or three for $10 and are available at the following businesses: BBI Builders, Gilman Electric, Sweetser Brunswick and Damariscotta (Miles), Northeast Bank, Atlantic Regional Federal Credit Union, Red Dragon Toys, Lite Life, First Federal Savings, or by calling Bill Brillant at Sweetser, 373-3169.
Proceeds from the raffle benefit Sweetser's Youth Enrichment Programs, which help at-risk youth improve the quality of their lives through therapeutic, recreational and academic activities.
