Ron Welch and Elizabeth Bailey Join Sweetser

Ron Welch has been hired as Sweetser's Director of Peer Support Services. Prior to his position with Sweetser, Welch was the Director of the State Office of Mental Health for six years. The previous 10 years he spent as the Executive Director of the Maine Association of Mental Health Services; other prior positions include the Director of the Bureau of Mental Retardation (now the Office of Cognitive and Physical Disabilities) and the acting Deputy Commissioner under Governor John McKernan.
Welch has a BA in Philosophy from the University of Maine at Orono, an MBA from the University of Southern Maine and a MSW from Boston College. Welch resides in Yarmouth with his wife.
Elizabeth Bailey has been named Sweetser's new Director of Adult Community Integrated and Children's Targeted Case Management Services. In this role she will be supervising all adult and child case managers. Before her position at Sweetser, she was the Director of Central Intake at Opportunity Alliance, a position she held for 10 years; prior to that she was Director of Family Intervention Services for Opportunity Alliance in Cumberland.
Bailey has a MSW from University of New England and resides in Harpswell.
