Toy Drive Brings In 2,000 Gifts

More than 25 local businesses and organizations contributed to Sweetser's 2004 Holiday Gift Tag Program, which provides gifts for children in Sweetser's residential programs throughout the state. In addition, Downeast Energy conducted an extensive Toy and Gift Drive at their 11 Maine locations encouraging their employees and customers to donate unwrapped gifts to Sweetser. We received about 2,000 gifts, well above what was needed for the residential programs. This provided an opportunity for Sweetser to also make gifts available to case management, school-based and day treatment clients and families.
