"Under the Big Top" Auction Raises $90,500 to Support Sweetser

Sweetser's 14th Annual Sold on Kids Benefit Auction at the Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks on April 1 raised more than $90,500 to support Sweetser's statewide services for children, adults and families. The event featured dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment by the Lower Village People.

Presented by KeyBank, the theme for this year's event was "Under the Big Top" with Lee Goldberg from WCSH6 serving as the "Ringmaster," Bill Zafirson returning as the auctioneer, and Carol Thorne chairing the event.

Auction items included a seven-night Celebrity cruise featuring Cirque du Soleil, a PGA Championship package with exclusive tournament access, a sailing charter on Casco Bay, a lobster bake for 20, and vacation getaways to Quebec City, Las Vegas, Northeast Harbor and more.
