Help Support Sweetser's Mission in Maine

An Email of Gratitude

August 4, 2009

Hi Mr. Eves,

I want to take a second to tell you how happy I am to be working with such an intelligent, empathetic and talented individual; Christine May of Sweetser (Hi-Fi facilitator). She is currently working with a family in York that has an extremely challenging and complex set of life circumstances and mental health issues. Christine has single handedly rounded up and put in place an entire team to deal with this family's issues in record time.

The police immediately contacted me pertaining to this case, as there was feces (dog and human) all over the house, DV issues, health issues, drug use and open cultivation, eviction issues, suicide threats, etc. (with the juveniles), who both have MH issues and were charged with cultivating marijuana. In the time it took for me to get the reports and schedule interviews (less than a month), Christine May already had Hi-Fi in place and various supports and services in place prior to my official involvement. This allowed me to divert these two at-risk juvenile offenders with significant MH issues from the Court system. I have NEVER seen services and supports put into place so fast! The family is very thankful of everyone involved, especially Christine. The children say that their father calls the providers his "Angels". This reference is indeed an understatement.

Christine May is a Godsend to this family and the greater York County community. I am fortunate to have her in my area. I hope that Sweetser fully appreciates what a wonderful employee they have, and support her in her future efforts to help those less fortunate who are in the midst of personal crisis.

Thank you,

Chris Libby, JCCO
