Do I need a referral to start services?
No, unless it is required by your insurance company. Please follow up with them if there are any questions.
Can I schedule an appointment for an Intake?
We offer walk-in appointments for all clients in need of an Intake Assessment. Our Same-Day Access program allows you to walk in to any location, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8-3:30. Please allow 2 hours for the appointment.
What do I need if I come in for Same-Day Access?
Please be sure that you have your insurance card, a list of medications that you are taking, and if it a child and or a client that is not their own guardian, a copy of the guardianship paperwork.
Where are you located?
We have outpatient locations in Belfast, Brunswick, Damariscotta, Lewiston, Northport, Rockland, Rockport, Saco and Sanford. We have schools located in Belfast and Saco. Our residential locations are in Belfast, Plymouth, Rockport, Saco and Winterport.
What services do you offer?
Sweetser offers an array of services, including Medication Management, Individual Therapy, Case Management, Psychological Assessments and Substance Abuse services.
Do you only see children?
No, we offer services for both children and adults.
Do you offer weekend appointments?
Our Outpatient staff are only in the office Monday-Friday during normal business hours.
Do you close if it snows?
Sweetser never closes, but if you feel unsafe or unable to make your appointment, please call ahead to cancel.
I have no insurance, what can you offer me for services?
We can complete an assessment, but no referrals will be scheduled until insurance coverage is obtained. At times we may have an intern on staff and may be able to offer IND at no charge. We may also have grant funding which could cover case management services. These are both time sensitive and are not always available.
Do you offer a sliding fee scale?
Not at this time.
