Description
Mental Health First Aid-Adults teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to appropriate care.
Who should be trained in Mental Health First Aid?
Police, clergy, volunteers, employers & business leaders, corrections officers, nursing home staff, veterans and their families, first responders, and members of the general public can benefit from the information provided in Mental Health First Aid.
Please note: This course would not be considered a self-care workshop for clinical practitioners.
