QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention & Intervention teaches how to recognize common clues and warning signs of potential suicide risk in others; how to safely approach, intervene, and offer hope to someone experiencing suicidal thoughts; and how to connect someone in need to appropriate mental health resources and supports.
QPR Gatekeeper trainings are evidence-based, nonclinical, skills-focused courses designed for general adult audiences. QPR is a nationally accredited certification training developed by and licensed through the QPR Institute, federally supported by SAMHSA, and taught by certified QPR instructors from Sweetser.
