QPR Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention & Intervention @ Sanford Community Adult Education

• Recognize early and developing warning signs of suicide risk in others
• Approach, intervene, and offer hope to someone who is contemplating suicide
• Connect people in need to appropriate mental health supports, including resources for Maine and US national mental healthcare options & services

Taught by certified QPR Instructors from Sweetser, licensed through the QPR Institute.

Sweetser and SCAE are offering the following QPR Gatekeeper training:

• Monday December 15th, 2025 - In-Person, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
  @ Sanford Community Adult Education  (688 Main Street, Sanford ME 04073)
  Training held in the Library

Training registration is First-Come, First-Served. One registration per person per email. Training participants must be 18 or older.
Thanks to a federal grant through the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA OMB 0930-0395), Sweetser offers QPR Gatekeeper and other mental health awareness trainings for FREE to Maine residents through our FREE Mental Health Awareness Training program. QPR Gatekeeper Training can be credited on completion as 1.5 professional development hours with employer approval; this training is not eligible for credit as continuing education units (CEUs) for professional licensure in Maine.
