Description
Practitioners may be asked to testify in court for a myriad of reasons, whether as a fact witness to talk about treatment or to provide an opinion to the court. This can be an intimidating process for anyone who is not familiar with the legal system or has never testified. In this session, we will review what to do if you receive a subpoena, next steps, and how to best prepare to testify in court. We will cover the differences between an expert witness and a fact witness, and how this affects your testimony. Ample time for questions from participants will be built into the session to tailor the session to a diverse group.
