Presenter Biography

Kevin L. Polk, Ph.D. is a practicing clinical psychologist. For 26 years, he has helped people with a variety of problems including troubling trauma memories. For the past eleven years, he has dedicated himself to the study of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—spending over 30,000 hours studying the philosophy and theory behind ACT, and eventually developing the ACT Matrix diagram. He has designed PTSD and Pain programs based on the ACT Matrix. He is also a peer-reviewed ACT trainer who is passionate about teaching others how to use the ACT Matrix to increase psychological flexibility and valued living.
