Description
Many traditions and healing practices around the world have used prescribed breathing techniques to manage physical and mental health. Simple manipulations to the way you breath can have vast and lasting outcomes on your immediate and long-term health. Additionally, how you breathe can have different effects. For example, if you’re feeling tired - there are techniques to wake you up. If you’re feeling anxious or excited - there are techniques to calm you down. Are you not sure how you’re feeling? Well, there are techniques for that as well. Using the understanding of up-regulating and down-regulating the nervous system, you will learn an array of techniques to suit your needs.
This training will give you experiences with different breathing techniques to equip your wellness toolkit with a few more resources. For clinicians, you’ll be able to bring these techniques to your clients as well. Based on Jerry Givens’s book, Essential Pranayama: Breathing Techniques for Balance, Healing, and Peace, this guided breathwork training includes a breakdown of breathwork from the yogic perspective, taking into account biology, nervous system regulation, and the regulation of stress hormones.
