As a social worker, Rick Woodcock has been helping children, families, and individuals make positive changes in their lives since 1998. After obtaining a Master's Degree from the University of Maine, Rick completed two years of supervised clinical experience at a community mental health agency before sitting for his nationally certified licensing exam. In 2004, Rick earned the highest level of licensure available to Clinical Social Work Therapists in the State of Maine. This advanced, independent level of licensure first led to Rick working as a clinical supervisor/team leader for other clinicians in mental health clinic/community-based settings. Rick has also managed the outpatient operations of a large, hospital-based substance abuse treatment center. In 2008, Rick opened his private Fresh Start Counseling practice.
