EVENT DESCRIPTION
Sweetser’s Golf Classic is one of Southern Maine’s most popular golf tournaments with the ultimate goal of raising awareness and much-needed funds for mental health services across Maine. Taking place at Dunegrass Golf Club in June, this tournament typically sells out early with a full field of 36 teams. Players are treated to lunch, course beverages, and an award reception with dinner and prizes. The tournament is in memory of Ira Rosenberg, a longtime supporter of Sweetser.
At our 2024 tournament, Sweetser raised a record breaking $112,000, our biggest fundraising total in the 35-year history of our Golf Classic! It was truly a wonderful day of golf and of impact. We appreciate Jack Chevrolet and the Rosenberg family for their long-standing support for Sweetser and mental health and appreciate all the participating teams and sponsors making this event so successful.
Our 2025 tournament will be held at Dunegrass Golf Club on June 9.

- Provide mental health services to over 15,000 Maine children, families and adults each year
