Description

This workshop will explore the ethical issues in working with LGBTQ survivors of Intimate Partner Violence.  Survivors of IPV/DV often face disbelief and discrimination from systems that may be their only option in seeking safety.  This is especially true for LGBTQ survivors.  This workshop will include assessment tools, trauma-informed interventions, safety planning and resources.  Participants are encouraged to share their expertise in their work with LGBTQ survivors.

For all in-person attendees:

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and out an abundance of caution for the health and wellbeing of you, our colleagues around the state, the following precautions are being required:

  1. Face coverings must be worn by each attendee for the duration of the workshop; regardless of vaccination status.
  2. Seating will be at a reduced capacity in an effort to maintain a minimum of 6 foot distance. When arriving at, leaving, and moving about the training location, please attempt to maintain a social distance.
  3. Each attendee will have a complete and individual set of handouts, worksheets, and/or supplies provided at their seat.
  4. Sweetser staff will sanitize each table and chair before and after your workshop. Additionally, hand sanitizer will be available for attendees throughout the training.

Thank you for your understanding and support in ensuring we all get through this safe and healthy.
